The Client & The Brief
Castle Wood Cottages, Romantic Theme Cottages
Castle Wood ideal Southern California romantic getaway for two, a truly unique lodging experience located in a quiet setting near the Village of Big Bear Lake, just minutes away from the ski slopes and marinas.
Creative Brief
In my academic project was tasked with choosing a website that was in need of a redsign and decided on Castle Wood Corrages website because its usability needs improvement and the design is not responsive.
Identifying the Weaknesses
Upon assessing the website, found that it did not direct the user easily. The site was also unresponsive, which is a priority with a large flow of site traffic coming from mobile or small screen devices. This ranked our client's site poorly in comparison to other market competitors.
The Redesign
First priority for the redesign was to optimize the mobile/small screen layout. After performing a needs analysis, able to identify what the users were trying to accomplish. Using this information, able to structure the design around the useful content that people are looking for.
